In unexpected ending Mikey givse back keys and doesnt drop Tanya. Why? This was not the end anybody had in mind. Here is why.

Tanya doesnt know Mikey! When she is with Pranav she learns about Mikey’s virtue. Now she has change of mind and she sees Mikey in differnt light. This is patchwork for the problem that she did not know she had. She did never knew Mickey. The reason being she has selfish motives and Mikey fits into her motives as a ladder.

Tanya is not sure about Mikey! she in fact doesnt know Mickey well. This amounts to her being not sure all the time. Her roomate friend advises her to not go fast and take some time to reevaluate her decision to get married. It was trigger to the underlying situation. Tanya was never sure of the thing that she cant be sure ever, her own motives being fulfilled.

Tanya is insensitive! While Mikey calls Tanya so that he understands situation and maybe expects to talk to his father. Mikey has got missed call from his father before he died. Tanya is fulfililng social requirement of talking to his mom and being with her mom, and completely ignores the fact that Mikey is trying to get to his father through her. She never speaks ever about it, and that indicates insenstivity very clearly. To tanya, it was not at all essential to comfort Mikey and take it as priority to make it happen for Mikey and his father to have a word. And thus she never remembers that as it was unimportant call from Mikey. To Mikey its a regret of lifetime.

Tanya is selfish! The fact that Mikey is coming back from USA, is overlooked here. They had great long distance relationship. But the moment Mikey lands in India, she is not sure. Consequently Mikey doenst want to go back to USA or Canada, this is what makes her fuming. She wants my way or Highway. She doesnt touch the corners of Mikey’s heart to see what lies there and why he doesnt want to go back.

The Ending! We have interesting twist in the end.

Mickey Learns Tanya’s Egotism! Mikey looks at the board and he sees Tanya’s story line. The last piece doesnt have picture, but it shows herself being in Germany. Shockingly, he doesnt see any of his picture with her on the board. That board is Tanya’s mind, and its looking at self only. She was in a relationship for her own sake only! Mikey was and is a ladder.

Mikey and Tanya mismatch! Mikey is happy coming back from USA for Tanya. And Tanya is leaving Mikey to go to Germany. Thats sharp contrast.

Tanya is Empty and has unrealistic expectations! Tanya is in Greed! Mikey is in Love! Tanya despite having a fullfilling job and Mikey by her side, she feels emptiness. She tells Mikey in the car that life is so boring because of being so predictable. On the other side, Mikey is doing all that he knows as if its only his job to spice life up. But Tanya blames she never had surprise in her life. The fact is that Mikey is giving her surprises regularly, but she has become insensitve and greedy and doesnt realize that she has unreasonable unrealistic expectations from Mikey. She doesnt realize that her demands are nothing but her own emptienes. She doesnt realize that its all because she never truly was in relationship, she only saw Mikey as ladder. Had tanya been in actual relationship with Mikey, she wont find any of the issue as Love is perfection itself! This was never the case with Tanya. However it was the case with Mikey, throughout the series Mikey demonstrates perfection (he transcends all ups and downs due to his love)! He had risen in Love! And Tanys had fallen in Greed, The False Love!

Mikey is not in Delusion! Mikey is not in the love that blinds. Mikey is in love that elevates, that makes him supple, tha makes his transcends beautifully. Mikey values Tanya and her thoughts, aspirations, complaints.

Mikey is Strong! Mikey stops the car, gives back the key to Tanya and doesnt go to drop her to airport. Tanya is the same lady he truly loves. This is strength.

The End Explained!

Tanya Takes the Keys! Mickey is actualy not only sensitive but Sensible too! Mikey stops the car, he gives back the keys to Tanya. Here is the deal. As identified by Mikesh before, Tanya not being in real love, doesnt exhibit any of the features and characteristics of a person in Love. Mikesh effortlessly tells her in the elevator that she did not react the way she should if she was in love, but Tanya is busy making her memories. It looks beautiful but the subtletly here is that its unmissable reaction if tanya was in love, but observatino is that she missed it. Here while Mikey gives her back the Keys, she misses a reaction big time. This is game over. She doesnt get angry on Mikey for giving back her keys. She doesnt argue anything. She takes the Keys, its in alignment with her inner core.

There are two roads! This is director’s genius. Things are in fact falling apart, but everything looks okay. While Mikey is talking to tanya, the Car and Tanya are on the left fork of the road, while Mikey is on right fork on the Road, there is a clear line and rail betweek two forks! Mikey is purposefully kept on right fork, which is straight fork. Tanya is purposefully kept on left fork, which is bending. The conversation takes place here.

Mikey doesnt drop Tanya! This is clincher. It shows Mikeys sensibilities and strength. It ashows inner core of Tanya. Mikey gives back the keys and doesnt drop her to airport to signify that its over from his side. He walks back while tanya leaves forward direction.

Tanya with her Dad vs Mikey with his Mom! Tanya’s dad is single parent from 20+ years. She doesnt call him whie she is staying at her Mausi house. Also while leaveing to Germany Tanya doesnt talk to her dad, she doesnt consider him. Hence this was unilateral decision. There is no talk! This is in sharp contrast to the fact that Mikey is adamant to not go back to USA and stay in India for her mom. And this was unilateral decision. Both are falling on outliers of Gaussian distribution but in opposite direction.

Tanya leaves in Car! Its in fact, checkmate. Tanya knows its checkmate. In this situation she doesnt have any words and on the other side her whatever is going on has complete alignment with her core. She doesnt need ladder anymore, her board is almost getting last picture that was missing. Her emptienss seems being fulfilled. The superflous stuff, which is her relationship towards Mikesh can still be kept barely alive just for the sake of fuure, even from Germany. She has done that beore, she can do it now too. For her togetherness did not mean much. For Mikey it meant something.

Mikey was mature! Tanya is immature yet! Mkey has seen it all, the abroad, the relationship ups and downs, he is able to manage mind of an immature kid, and put up with her beautifully without complaint and keep the heart. However Tanya has not seen anything, she is aspiring to go aborad, for her relationship are means to some end yet. She takes for granted Mikey and never thinks the viewpoint that he might have been just putting up with her. In her own egotism she think she is the centerpoint. And in true love, Mikey support her being the centerpoint unconditionally. Tanya points at Feminism being fake egotism infused version of equality. Mikey points at nothing but love, an ultimate version of equality which is infused with resilience, suppleness, yesness where its hard to figure out what Mikey really wanted apart from Tanya’s companionship!!! And look Ma! Its not Tanya who left to Germany, Mikey left Tanya and her companionship, that is Fullness! That is perfection. Mikey stands alone, Mikey stands out!
